The holiday season is here, bringing travel, family gatherings, packed schedules, and plenty of delicious treats. It’s one of the hardest times of year to stay consistent with your fitness routine, but with a few simple strategies, you can keep your momentum strong all month long. One of the best hacks for staying active is breaking your workouts into mini sessions. If you don’t have time for a full hour in the gym, try doing ten minutes in the morning, ten minutes at lunch, and ten minutes before bed. Those small efforts really add up. It also helps to keep a “travel workout” ready for busy days or when gym access is limited; bodyweight circuits like squats, push-ups, burpees, and planks can be done anywhere and deliver a solid sweat session. You can also make movement part of the celebration itself by inviting family members to join you for a walk after meals or a quick stretch session during movie night. Prioritizing morning movement is another great strategy, since early hours are usually less chaotic and help ensure your workout actually gets done. And on the really busy days, remember to keep it simple: even ten minutes of cardio, a short walk, or a set of basic bodyweight movements can help maintain consistency without pressure or guilt.
This month is also the perfect time to join our 50k Meter Challenge, especially if you’re traveling or can’t always make it into the gym. Throughout December, your goal is to accumulate 50,000 meters using any cardio modality: a walk, run, swim, row, ski, bike, kayak, or any cardio machine. Just log your meters in the PushPress app, and everyone who reaches 50k by January 1 will be entered into a drawing for a FREE skill session. Even better, there will be one winner for every 10 people who sign up, giving you great odds while keeping you motivated all month long. With a little creativity and a fun challenge to guide you, you can stay active, energized, and feeling your best through the holiday season. Let’s finish the year strong!
